3 Secrets For High-Performing CTA Buttons

1) Contrast, Contrast, Contrast
Although orange has long been the favorite CTA (Call-to-Action) button color, the real color that makes a difference is any color with a high contrast to its page background. Ensure the button font label text and the button also have good contrast.

2) Meaningful Labels
The text label should be more than "submit". Button labels describe the action in a positive way for the user. For example, "Get My Audit," "Sign up and Save," and "Get Started." Beyond testing the label, you’ll want to test adding the benefits just above the button.

3) Placement - Location Matters
Like a storefront, CTA buttons must be placed at the right time in the sales journey and repeated throughout the page. Keep the same label on each button. Tricking prospects with a different label for the same action only gets them frustrated. Place the CTA button on the center of the page if possible with easy-to-read fonts.
